Our school hosts Ethics and Religious Studies Hunger Banquet
1 Apr 2026

To deepen students understanding of social justice and global resource distribution our Ethics and Religious Studies Department recently organized a Hunger Banquet experience. During the event students were randomly assigned to different economic classes and served meals corresponding to their assigned status allowing them to experience the reality of social inequality firsthand. This activity aimed to guide students beyond theoretical frameworks and stimulate empathy for poverty issues through sensory experience while reflecting on their roles in social responsibility. Our school hopes that such inspiring activities will nurture values of care and sharing among students and help them develop a more compassionate perspective.
