Jockey Club “SciSeed” Programme
30 Aug 2025

In October 2024, 32 of our Form 4 students were selected to participate in the Jockey Club “SciSeed” Programme, jointly organized by the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. The programme officially commenced at HKU’s opening ceremony, marking the start of a journey in emerging technologies. This two-year initiative aims to enhance the digital competitiveness of underprivileged youth, equipping students with essential skills for the future through professional training and community service.

Students experienced a diverse range of learning activities:

  • Media Production: Learning green-screen filming, video editing, and digital illustration
  • AI and 3D Modelling: Practically creating 3D models and exploring innovative technologies
  • Genetic Science: Visiting the GeneGuard laboratory and extracting DNA firsthand
  • Community Service: Assisting elderly and children in digital skills learning at youth centers

Through a curriculum that balances theory and practice, students not only earned professional certifications but also developed creativity, problem-solving abilities, and a spirit of service.

We extend our gratitude to the Jockey Club and HKFYG for their support, enabling our students to find a balance between technology and humanities, truly embodying the philosophy of “learning for application.” We look forward to seeing our students continue to shine and use technology to shape the future.
