Teachers and students from this school made their first visit to Xinjiang
4 Jul 2026

Earlier, our school supported the "Passing on the Torch" platform series of the Education Bureau and, in collaboration with seven schools across Hong Kong, formed the first group to travel to Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region for a seven-day exploration trip focusing on the natural environment and ethnic culture. The itinerary covered the northern and eastern regions of Xinjiang, including natural ecological attractions such as Tianchi on the Tianshan Mountains, Kanas Scenic Area, and Hemo Village, as well as cultural and historical sites like the Karez System in Turpan, the Flame Mountain, and the Xinjiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum. This allowed students to gain a comprehensive understanding of Xinjiang's natural landscapes, ethnic culture, and historical development from multiple perspectives. Teacher Pan Xingyu, who was part of the group, stated that the students actively participated in various visits and activities, actively thinking and exploring, and fully practiced the learning spirit of "walking as a classroom". The school expressed its gratitude to the Education Bureau for their careful organization and hopes to continue supporting the mainland exchange program to cultivate students' sense of belonging and responsibility towards the country.
